Stylish and beautiful: dramatic textured shades of white scheme at The Mansion, Leeds

What a fabulous venue The Mansion is – and beautifully situated in Roundhay Park, Leeds. The building itself is so impressive that it was great fun to walk around it with an equally elegant and lovely bride and put together the scheme for her wedding.  We needed flowers that complemented her and worked beautifully in the place – understated – but with a touch of drama, classical but with a contemporary edge..  We kept the bouquet to quite a simple dome shape so as not to detract from the beautiful dress, but incorporated lots of tiny textures to work with the detail on it and her luxuriant hair – and I included the slightly blush pink of rice flower to complement its subtle, very slightly champagne hue.  I made a large and really impactfull  candle-lit arrangement for the stunning table in the entrance, and the ceremony table was decorated with a selection of my silver and glass candle holders and bud vases massed together with white flowers. Simple white plinths with huge hurricane lanterns and wreaths of white and green flowers were placed to either side and an ivory aisle carpet finished the job for the ceremony!  Pictures below are from photographer Annette Fishburn (supplemented by a few less impressive ones of my own taken on the day!):

It was a pleasure to work with Wedding Planner Sue White, too – whose professionalism ensured the smooth running of every last detail:  Sue White: www.whiteweddingcompany.com
